WHAT
WE DO

PROGRAMS

We offer a range of programs to empower individuals and families facing eviction and foreclosure. Our comprehensive services include legal assistance, financial counseling, and housing advocacy, providing holistic support to address the multifaceted challenges of housing insecurity. Through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one consultations, we equip participants with the knowledge, resources, and tools to successfully navigate the complexities of eviction and foreclosure proceedings.

Legal Assistance

• Pro bono legal representation for tenants facing eviction proceedings, including drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, and negotiating settlements with landlords.

• Legal advice and guidance on tenant rights, lease agreements, eviction notices, and other legal matters related to housing stability.

• Referrals to legal aid organizations or pro bono attorneys for homeowners facing foreclosure.

Financial Counseling

• Personalized financial counseling and budgeting assistance to help individuals and families manage their finances, prioritize expenses, and develop strategies for rent or mortgage payments.

• Assistance with debt management, credit repair, and accessing financial assistance programs, such as rental assistance, utility bill assistance, or foreclosure prevention funds.

• Education on financial literacy topics, such as savings strategies, debt reduction techniques, and responsible borrowing practices.

Mediation & Negotiation

• Mediation services to facilitate communication and resolution between tenants and landlords, helping to prevent evictions through mutually agreed-upon solutions.

• Negotiation with lenders on behalf of homeowners facing foreclosure, exploring alternatives to foreclosure such as loan modifications, short sales, or repayment plans.

Housing Advocacy

• Advocacy on behalf of tenants and homeowners to address systemic issues contributing to eviction and foreclosure crises, such as affordable housing shortages, discriminatory practices, and landlord-tenant disputes.

• Community organizing efforts to mobilize residents, stakeholders, and policymakers in support of policies and initiatives that promote housing stability and tenant protections.

Education & Outreach

• Workshops, seminars, and educational materials on tenant rights, eviction prevention strategies, foreclosure avoidance tactics, and resources available for housing assistance.

• Outreach efforts to raise awareness about the organization's services and reach individuals and communities at risk of eviction or foreclosure, including partnerships with local community centers, churches, schools, and social service agencies.

Unlawful Detainer
Assistant Training

Participants gain access to high-quality training and support to start their unlawful detainer assistant businesses. By investing in this program, individuals have the potential to earn $200 per answer, creating sustainable income streams while contributing to the legal profession.
